Volunteer

A successful campaign requires an army of volunteers.  We need and welcome your time and involvement, as much or as little as you can give.  Please email and let us know your area of interest.  Thanks!

Opportunities:

1. Help walk the neighborhoods of District 32: Go with Carolyn and a team of volunteers to knock on doors, greet voters, hear issues, hand out literature, and ask them to vote for Carolyn Y. Staley in November. When? Weekends (Saturday all day and Sunday afternoon) and weekdays after 5 pm, starting mid-June. Other times also will be arranged.
2. Work at the polls: Early voting begins October 18 (2 weeks before Election Day) at three precincts. We will need 1-2 people for these two weeks to be at the three polling places from about 10-4 each day. Greet voters, give them Carolyn’s campaign literature, tell them she’s your friend and ask them to vote for her. On Election Day, November 2, be a poll worker at each of the voting precincts in District 32. Ask voters to support your friend and candidate, Carolyn Y. Staley.
3. Phone calls: Help with the “Get out the Vote” effort by making phone calls to voters beginning Oct. 18 and urging them to go and vote for Carolyn.
4. Assist with fundraising events: help set up and clean up at events as needed; greet and register guests; distribute campaign materials; be generally available to help as needed.
5. Write postcards to friends and neighbors in District 32. Postcards and postage will be provided.  Address the cards and add a personal note to ask your friends to vote for Carolyn Y. Staley.
6. Assist with large mailings, as needed.
7. Host a meet-and-greet event to introduce Carolyn to friends in District 32. Invite neighbors and friends to come meet Carolyn, hear her ideas, and ask her questions. Provide coffee, tea, lemonade, and some light refreshments.
8. Host or co-host a fundraising event. Offer your home or other venue for an event. Add you name to a group having a party for Carolyn. Provide food and drink, paper products, invitations, decorations, and help in any way to make the event a success.
9. Assist Carolyn at Festivals/events to walk among the crowds with campaign literature, and ask for votes. (See events for upcoming opportunities)
